Perfect Range: Total Chlorine should be the same as Free Chlorine

Total Chlorine is the sum of both Free Chlorine and Combined Chlorine. Since there should be NO Combined Chlorine, the Total Chlorine should be the same as the Free Chlorine.

A reading of Total Chlorine that is higher than Free Chlorine indicates the presence of Combined Chlorine. The water will have to be "Super Chlorinated" when Combined Chlorine is present.
